Dr. Michael A. Miyasaki is a 1987 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He is an active clinician practicing in Sacramento, CA, where he maintains his general practice focused on helping his patient achieve a lifetime of dental health. He practices with two associates in a family practice setting utilizing the latest technology with CBCT imaging, CEREC in-office milling, Perioscopy, Tekscan, Myotronics, Gemini and Solea lasers. And to provide the patients with the best care their practice utilizes the latest procedures in implant placement, tooth movement, aesthetics, and procedures, such as the Pinhole periodontic procedure.

Dr. Miyasaki has been involved in dental education for over 27 years and he is currently the Director of Education for the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum. His lecturing has taken him globally to meetings in Australia, Canada, England, Poland, Russia, Croatia, Kosovo, Albania, Dubai, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, India and Germany, to groups ranging from the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics, the Chicago Mid-Winter meeting and the Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He has organized live-patient treatment programs in the United States and Australia. Dr. Miyasaki has done live-patient demonstrations at venues, such as, the Greater New York Dental Meeting. He has trained dentists, their teams, and laboratory technicians from over 18 countries on diverse topics ranging from basic restorative considerations, hard and soft tissue lasers, aesthetics, function, photography, practice growth and cosmetically-focused tooth movement.

Dr. Miyasaki is also very involved with many companies on a corporate level. He was President of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental studies, the Editor-in-Chief for Dental Product Shopper magazine, a Vice-president at Discus Dental and Philips Oral Healthcare, and the Executive Vice-president for Danville Materials, and he is called upon by many manufacturers to consult with them and advise them on R&D, education and acquisition activities.

Dr. Miyasaki’s experiences in owning a practice, lecturing and participating in live-patient treatment courses, and working with dental businesses gives him a unique perspective on dentistry and dental education. He brings insights from all three together, ultimately to provide his colleagues with relevant information and implementation strategies to increase their enjoyment and their patient’s quality of treatment in systematic engaging education.
